Be Ready for Summer!

Spring is a time of change and growth. If you’re ready for change and want to enhance your figure in time for summer, now is the perfect time to consider breast augmentation here in Baltimore. Board-certified plastic surgeon and breast specialist Dr. Michael Cohen recommends starting the process now for a look you’ll love by swimsuit season.

Why get breast augmentation now?

Although results from cosmetic procedures can be visible instantly, it can take a while for your final results to look their best. At Belcara Health, we believe it is beneficial to give yourself a cushion of time in which to heal physically and adjust mentally to your new look. So, if you want to look naturally enhanced by this summer, this is definitely the time to have your procedure.

What to Expect

We can’t wait to help you achieve your best body ever. When you call to start your breast augmentation journey, here’s what the next steps will look like.

  • Consultation: Your surgeon will listen to your concerns and expectations, discuss the procedure in detail, and educate you on your options to meet your goal.  He will review implant sizes, shapes and textures and all other aspects of the surgery, including risks and recovery.
  • Pre-Operative Visit: During your “pre-op” visit, you will meet with one of our patient advisors. Together, you will review your pre-op packet, which includes details on what to expect before, during, and after surgery. Then a Registered Nurse will capture your medical history and vital signs. If you are over 40, you will be required to have a mammogram before your surgery.
  • Surgery: The day of your procedure, you will arrive at our on-site surgical facility, the Clarkview Surgery Center, or your designated hospital. Breast augmentation procedures generally last 1 hour. Recovery is different for everyone, but patients usually remain in the recovery room for approximately 1 hour. Once discharged, we recommend you go home and rest, sitting upright, for the remainder of the day.
  • Recovery: Most patients return to light activity and desk work within 4 days. Most patients feel normal and return to all regular activities with 2 weeks. We recommend patients wear a support bra for at least 6 weeks for optimal results. Your breast implants will “drop” or settle into their proper position in approximately 2 to 3 months – just in time for summer!
