“While I never really struggled with weight problems when I was younger, I gained a great deal of weight with both of my pregnancies (over 70 lbs, yikes!), and boasted a whopping 225 pounds on a 5 foot 6 1/2 inch frame with my second child. I was fortunate enough to lose all but 10-15 pounds within the first year after delivery. But even as I continued to lose those last stubborn few pounds, my stomach didn’t come close to flattening out one bit. I did personal training, Pilates, boot-camp, spinning, step, hot yoga, and even tried Jenny Craig, and people would still ask me if I was pregnant again. It was so frustrating. In addition, my small, but shapely breasts had ballooned from barely a B to a DD during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and while I wouldn’t trade that experience for anything, the aftermath was less than desirable. I lost most of the elasticity in my breast tissue, and had rather pronounced asymmetry. Everyone said I looked “fine,” and many women argued that these changes were the “badge of motherhood.” I disagreed. While I was well into my thirties, I had no desire to “retire” my bikini, and sport the one pieces I had so often seen my mother wear to conceal her “badges of motherhood.” In my head, I’m still in my twenties. 

Anyway, I decided that cosmetic surgery was the only way I was going to get the results I wanted, so I shopped around. Believe it or not, I was 99% certain I was going to go to another plastic surgeon, and decided, on the advice of a neighbor, to have a consultation with Dr. Michael Cohen. Boy, am I sure glad I did! This kind of surgery is rather involved, and Dr. Cohen’s bedside manner immediately put me at ease. I really wanted natural looking results, and while I had a “size” in mind, I basically let him have carte blanche. I am so thrilled with my results, and not only would I do it again in a heartbeat, I would highly recommend the Center to any and all of my friends considering cosmetic surgery. The staff was courteous, friendly, and supportive, and my overall experience was phenomenal. So, I offer a heartfelt “thank you” for allowing me to look like I feel!”
