Like many patients who are interested in aesthetic genital surgery in Baltimore, you want to maximize your appearance and body confidence. Today, one of the most life-changing entries in the field of cosmetic surgery is genital aesthetics such as labiaplasties, clitoral hood reductions, pubic lifts & more.

Designed to address the effects of life, aging, genetics, or fluctuations in weight, genital aesthetic surgery can significantly improve your appearance, comfort, and sexual satisfaction. With the help of our Baltimore based surgeons you no longer need to feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. Here are procedures that can help:

Labiaplasty

Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure that reduces or reshapes the labia minora (the skin surrounding the vaginal opening). Some women are born with large, thick or irregular labia; other women develop the condition after childbirth or hormonal changes. Enlarged labia minora are visible when the legs are not a part or are barely separated, sometimes causing embarrassment, self-consciousness, and distancing in relationships. They may be noticeable in tight-fitting pants and can cause discomfort during intercourse, exercise, or with clothes.

What are the benefits of labiaplasty?

  • Improve the appearance of the vagina and vulva
  • Reduce discomfort caused by clothing
  • Reduce discomfort during intercourse and exercise
  • Boost self-confidence

Clitoral hood reduction surgery

The clitoral hood or prepuce is the tissue that covers and surrounds the clitoris, the highly sensitive and arousing erectile tissue of the female. This tissue or hood can become enlarged, often in conjunction with enlarged labia minora. Enlargement of the clitoral hood can negatively impact sexual pleasure during lovemaking. In addition, women with an enlarged clitoral hood may also desire an improved cosmetic appearance.

The solitary function of the clitoris is to induce sexual pleasure. Like the female equivalent to a man’s penis, the clitoris is covered by a hood (which is similar to a man’s foreskin). Occasionally this hood or tissue covering can be large, redundant, and cause an inability to achieve stimulation to the clitoris. The redundant tissue can also be uncomfortable while wearing a bathing suit or tight-fitting clothing.

A Clitoral Hood Reduction surgery reduces the clitoral hood and removes an adequate amount of tissue to allow for the clitoris to be stimulated easily. Clitoral hood hypertrophy is often seen in women who also have labial hypertrophy (an enlarged labia), and reduction of the tissue covering the clitoris is usually performed at the time of labiaplasty if desired. The nerves that supply the clitoris are not involved in these procedures, and therefore there is no decrease in sensation or orgasm experienced.

Pubic lift or monsplasty for women

The mons pubis is the soft, rounded mound of tissue overlying the pubic bone located right above the female genitalia. As women age, after childbirth or with weight gain or loss, this area can change, becoming enlarged or have redundant skin. Occasionally it can become so enlarged that the area appears more masculine, and protrudes through clothes. Many women are unhappy with this appearance and the difficulty with intimacy and sexual gratification that it causes.

To correct this condition, excess fat is removed with liposuction and any redundant skin can be removed with surgery. This area can also be lifted to give a more streamlined appearance and can be combined with a tummy tuck.

Pubic lift for men

The suprapubic fat pad, directly above the penis, can become enlarged from aging and weight gain. Weight loss may result in redundant tissue, but most men find weight loss does not target that area sufficiently. The presence of a large fat pad and fatty tissue results in perceived diminished penile length.

To correct this condition, excess fat is removed with liposuction and any redundant skin can be removed with surgery. This procedure can also be combined with an Abdominoplasty procedure.

Core Intima laser treatment for women’s intimate wellness

CO2RE Intima is a non-surgical laser procedure that restores vaginal health and functionality. It is appropriate for women in the peri-menopausal, menopausal and post-menopausal stages of life, as well as for women looking to improve sexual function and confidence related to their vaginal aesthetics, appearance, and health.

Where will the procedure take place?

Most labiaplasty and genital aesthetics patients elect to have their procedures performed in our on-site surgery center.
