Large Pores at Belcara Health in Baltimore, MD

Looking for large pores treatment in Baltimore? Many people would like to improve the tone and texture of their skin by replacing large skin pores with satiny smooth skin.

Pores are holes that extend through several layers of skin. They are important for they flush out toxins, help with temperature regulation and aid in moisturizing our skin. Pores may appear enlarged for a number of reasons, including age, genetics, age, sun exposure, and oil production. Oil, dirt, and dead skin cells tend to collect around pores, causing the opening to appear larger and can sometimes block them, resulting in acne.

Please note: Belcara Health reserves the right to withhold the $50 deposit of any patient who cancels within 24 hours of their scheduled appointment, or fails to show up for their scheduled Skin & Laser appointment.

How to Reduce the Appearance of Large Pores

Our skin and laser specialists recommend a few ways to reduce the appearance of large pores:

Cleansing & Good Hygiene

Regular washing is vital to maintaining healthy skin. It is important to use a mild cleanser so your skin doesn’t become too dry. When the skin becomes dry, the body creates more oil to compensate, thus exasperating the problem. We can recommend a cleanser that contains a gentle lactic or salicylic acid to unclog the pores.

Microneedling

Microneedling is a wonderful treatment that significantly improves overall skin texture and tone. It also increases the penetration of active, collagen-building ingredients.

Skincare Products

Skin care products using topical treatments such as retinoids, salicylic acid, alpha hydroxy acid or benzoyl peroxides will not only reduce the size of the pores but will also destroy the bacteria that cause acne. In addition, it is critical to protect your skin from the sun with a daily moisturizer with SPF, for sun exposure will make the rims of your pores become tough and enlarged.

Chemical Peels

Our chemical peels use varying types of prescription-strength acids including salicylic, lactic, retinol, and trichloroacetic acid to remove your outer layers of dead skin – revealing the fresher, healthier, softer, clearer skin underneath.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

Laser Skin Resurfacing works beautifully to boost collagen production and reveal fresher, smooth skin. These treatments minimize the appearance of pores as well as acne scars.

IPL Laser Treatments

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments are fantastic for refining the texture and appearance of pores, as well as addressing any unwanted red or brown spots and giving your skin an overall healthy appearance.
