Weekend Laser Peel

The Weekend Laser Peel is a highly effective skin resurfacing procedure that treats fine lines, wrinkles and brown spots for a smoother, brighter, more youthful-looking appearance. It is ideal for patients concerned about early signs of aging with little downtime to spare. Guided by a laser specialist or plastic surgeon at our Baltimore practice, it can give you noticeable results in just 2 to 3 days.

How the Weekend Laser Peel Works

The Weekend Laser Peel involves the removal of a layer of damaged skin. As the skin heals, fresh skin cells grow, resulting in a healthier-looking complexion, with reduced lines and wrinkles and more even texture, tone and coloration. Patients frequently report that after their Weekend Laser Peel procedure, their skin went from looking tired to vibrant. The procedure is quick and provides results in just a couple of days. You can have your procedure on a Thursday or Friday, in about 30 minutes, and you’re back to work on Monday.

The Treatment Experience

The treatment is safe and gentle, with minimal discomfort. The experience will vary from person to person. Some patients have described a slight stinging sensation, like the snapping of a rubber band, but most people find it to be very tolerable. A topical anesthetic cream can be applied 45 minutes before the procedure, if desired, to minimize discomfort.

Immediately following the procedure, you will feel as if you have a bad sunburn. Day 1, you will have minor sloughing and itchiness. Day 2, the redness will begin to fade. Day 3, any residual redness can be easily covered by makeup. You will be extra sensitive to sunlight and must avoid direct exposure until fully healed. We will advise you on how best to protect your skin to maintain your Weekend Laser Peel results.

At Belcara Health, we perform the Weekend Laser Peels with Sciton NanoLaserPeel™ technology. This treatment is relatively gentle, removing only the topmost layer of skin (about 10um). However, our Sciton Laser technology has a virtually unlimited range of treatment options, allowing us to address a broad range of patient needs, from subtle improvements to dramatic transformations.
