Dr. Monte S. Meltzer, MD, recently joined the Belcara Health team, after practicing for many years in various hospital systems throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Dr. Meltzer is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Graduating from Georgetown University’s School of Medicine with honors, Dr. Meltzer trained at such prestigious institutions as Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and the National Institute of Health (NIH).

Following his fellowship training, Dr. Meltzer focused primarily on research regarding immune responses to cancer and other infectious diseases at the National Cancer Institute. He completed his dermatology training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, serving as the Chief of the Department of Cellular Immunology.

Dr. Meltzer has served as the Chief of Dermatology Service for Kaiser Permanente-Baltimore Metropolitan Service Area and a Dermatology Consultant to the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital. Dr. Meltzer is excited to bring his vast knowledge and experience to our patients at Belcara Health!
