Melanoma Month – Get Checked!

Attention women!

Did you know that women are nine times more likely than men to notice melanoma on others?  Which means you could help save lives by helping others spot skin cancer. This is especially important for men over 50 as they have an increased risk of developing melanoma compared to the general population. If you notice any suspicious spots on your skin, your partner’s skin or anyone else’s skin – or notice anything changing, itching or bleeding – see a board-certified dermatologist. When detected early, skin cancer — including melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer — is highly treatable.
