Dr. Dermody joins Belcara Health as a fellowship-trained Facial plastic surgeon specializing exclusively in plastic surgery of the face and neck. She completed advanced fellowship training in New York City through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, where she worked under the mentorship of renowned leaders in facelift and rhinoplasty surgery. Dr. Dermody blends artistry with surgical precision to deliver elegant, natural results tailored to each patient’s desired goals.
Dr. Dermody completed her residency at the University of Michigan, one of the nation’s premier surgical training programs, where she specialized in surgery of the face and neck. She was selected to serve as Chief Resident and received multiple honors for her leadership, clinical excellence, and research contributions. Prior to residency, she graduated with honors from Georgetown University and studied at the University of Oxford in England. She earned her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, where she was honored with awards for exemplary personal character, dedication, and commitment to the field of medicine.
In addition to her surgical training, Dr. Dermody has authored more than 35 peer-reviewed publications and has received national recognition for her research contributions, including the Best Paper 2025 Award from Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the leading journal in the field of Plastic Surgery. She is deeply committed to applying the latest evidence-based advances to optimize patient outcomes and continually elevate the standard of care in facial plastic surgery.

As a classically trained violinist, she appreciates the balance of discipline and artistry that music demands - a philosophy she carries into her surgical practice.
Dr. Dermody holds a Master of Public Health degree and has participated in multiple international outreach missions focused on expanding access to surgical care. She has traveled to Vietnam and Tanzania, performing facial reconstruction procedures for both children and adults. These experiences providing care through mission work deepened her appreciation for the functional and emotional impact of facial surgery.
