A Neck Lift is typically performed under moderate sedation or general anesthesia.
A small incision is placed under the chin and as well as in front and behind the ear in a natural skin crease. These incisions are designed to hide in natural skin creases and minimize scarring while providing the necessary access to perform liposuction of the neck and lift and re-position the sagging tissues of the neck. Where will the Neck Surgery take place?
Most neck lift patients elect to have their procedures performed in our on-site surgery center. What should I expect during my Neck Lift recovery?
Following neck lift surgery, you will be able to rest in the comfort of your own home. Because you will have been under anesthesia, you must have someone to drive you home after surgery. It may take several hours for the anesthesia medication to wear off, so expect to be groggy for a while.
Every patient’s recovery is different and depends upon the extent of their personal treatment plan. You may experience some bruising or swelling in the first few days following surgery, but these typically resolve in 1-2 weeks.
